Delivering local distributed energy
What is Traxis Energy?
Traxis Energy is short for the Traxis Shared Energy Plan. This is our commercial catalyst for delivering smart local energy systems behind the substation that dynamically manage peak loads. It is for developers, local authorities and energy businesses who want to move beyond trials to commercial propositions.
We address the middle and often rocky ground between early adoption and mass market - the challenge of “crossing the chasm"*.
Using collaborative approaches to foster new sustainable business income streams, our focus is on enabling long-term business growth for Smart Local Energy Systems - 'local energy for local people'.

We are a group of entrepreneurs with over a century of experience successfully delivering solutions across the world of energy. In 2020 we decided to use our experience and global networks to make a real difference at what is a critical crossroads in the decarbonisation of energy.
Having all founded and grown businesses, and with the scars to prove it, we are frustrated at the lack of progress in what is being offered to consumers small and large. To us it is clear: local energy is too fragmented to have the impact needed.
Consequently, we have decided to bring the players with the most potential together, to help them to collaborate and partner intensively and to invest in a more coordinated way, so that together we can start to create scale, and make a world of difference.
A collaboration between specialist energy consultancies initially set up by VaasaETT and ZIGZAG Strategy+Research and now joined by Pallicons, Carpanini Consulting and Digital4Grids. Simon Anderson of ZIGZAG SR is our CEO and the principals of each consultancy are Directors. All 5 Directors have considerable experience of running and setting up businesses, and have the scars to prove it, making them excellent coaches and advisors.
